Jaclyn received her Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in 2019. She previously graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2012 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Toronto in 2009.
Jaclyn began her journey into holistic care and manual therapy during her undergraduate years in Toronto. She realized there was a real need for more education and care for competitive athletes while she was rowing. The demands placed on the body during high level sports in both physical and mental and there really were not a lot of accessible resources for athletes; especially female athletes. This led her to holistic nutrition shortly following her graduation where she learned to heal the body from the inside out, treating the body as a whole. After working with clients for a few years in nutrition, she decided there was still something missing and discovered Manual Osteopathy. Combining functional anatomy to affect the body’s physiology and natural ability to heal, with a holistic approach to the whole person, is what Manual Osteopathy is all about. With the philosophy that the artery is king, osteopathy focuses on creating motion where motion has been lost and opening drainage and supply pathways through the body to allow the body to heal. Working through all the layers of the body and working in a gentle manner that appeals to the body’s physiological abilities, it is truly amazing what the human body is capable of healing.
Starting by treating the people of Hamilton, Ontario at the CAO student clinic for 4 years and moving out on her own after graduation, Jaclyn is excited to be helping people out of Infinity Health Centre in Oakville, Ontario. Jaclyn treats people from all walks of life, from the tiniest infants, to the elderly. She loves helping people achieve greater health and wellness in an accessible way.
