Psychotherapy can help you move forward through your difficult or challenging times. Psychotherapy not only helps to alleviate mental health struggles, but is also an important complement to overall healthcare and an integral part of your overall health and wellbeing. If you have reached that point where some guidance and support would help, if you are struggling to overcome a problem, or if you want to work on optimizing your personal growth, then Psychotherapy is for you.
How Do Psychotherapists Treat Conditions?
Psychotherapists assess issues in thinking, feeling and behaviour, and also help to overcome or manage these problems using various techniques and/or approaches.
Our 50min visits are designed to clarify overall mental health and wellbeing, as well as allow for comprehensive assessments designed to provide clarity, to answer questions, and to give practical advice for the future. We also offer counselling and coaching for life’s stressors; individual therapy for adults, adolescents, and families; individually tailored treatment programs to address specific conditions; and in some cases, consultation to schools, community agencies, and businesses/workplaces.
What To Expect At The First Visit
The first visit is an intake and initial consultation/assessment, which will allow your Psychotherapist to learn more about your concerns and health history. Based on the information gathered during this phase, your Psychotherapist will provide you with an individualized treatment plan.
Common Conditions Treated:
- Family Conflict
- Grief and Loss
- Substance Abuse
- Relationship difficulties & Divorce
- Trauma & PTSD
If your issue or condition is not listed, contact us directly to see how we can help you.
All assessments and treatments are confidential, meaning that our Psychotherapists will not disclose what you say during your sessions to anyone without your prior written permission or consent. To learn more about the standards of practice of Psychotherapy, click here.
