Nadia Addesi is a Registered Social Worker with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSSWSW) She graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2019 after completing her Bachelor of Social Work Degree at Ryerson University in 2017.
Nadia has experience working with individuals of all ages. She specializes in working with individuals who may find difficulty coping with anxiety, stress, depression, self-confidence, addictions, body image issues, or major life changes. Nadia’s therapeutic style is client-centered, evidence based and collaborative. She practices psychotherapy using an integrative strengths-based and solution focused approach, which includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Focused Therapy.
The treatment provided by Nadia is tailored specifically to each client’s unique needs. She believes that therapy begins by creating a safe, non-judgmental environment in which the client feels free to explore their feelings and talk openly about their current life challenges. Nadia’s practice is inclusive to all.
Nadia is a big advocate on self-love and in addition to counseling, she runs a variety of workshops that focus on building self-esteem and self-awareness. Nadia is the founder of the not for profit organization called “You Run Like a Girl” in which she strives to challenge the inequalities faced by woman around the world, while building their confidence in the process.
In her spare time, Nadia enjoys playing soccer, yoga, blogging and spending time with friends and family.
